Il compte environ 300 000 habitants \u00e0 majorit\u00e9 m\u00e9lan\u00e9sienne. Nous commen\u00e7ons par voir la cascade de Donna. deuxi\u00e8me journ\u00e9e, nous partons pour Tanna, une \u00eele o\u00f9 le mode de vie est plus rudimentaire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour nous rendre \u00e0 notre logement, il faut compter 1h30 de route en 4&#215;4. Nous croisons beaucoup d&rsquo;habitants locaux ainsi que des petits stands o\u00f9 les gens vendent ce qui pousse par ici : chouchoute, brocoli, carottes, taro, tabac et le fameux Apr\u00e8s avoir eu quelques explications, les 4&#215;4 emm\u00e8nent la quarantaine de participants non loin du sommet du crat\u00e8re. Il ne reste plus qu&rsquo;une centaine de marches pour atteindre les 360 m du haut du crat\u00e8re o\u00f9 nous d\u00e9couvrons l&rsquo;origine de bruit qui rythment les alentours. Le gigantisme est impressionnant. Le trou b\u00e9ant, la taille des langues de fum\u00e9e, la hauteur des projections de lave et surtout le bruit des explosions.
